On the surface it definitely sounds expensive, but consider the fact that most study guides cost around $25. Now think about how many people are on your team. The typical game is composed of teams of four to eight teammates and only one study guide per team must be purchased. Now do the math:
$48 ÷ 4 = $12 each
That’s less than half the cost of a typical study guide!
The author put many, many hours into creating this guide and putting it all together into an easy to follow book. Many more hours and lots of money went into creating the finished product (graphics/layout), running it through attorneys to be sure no copyright violations existed, creating a website, promoting the website, etc, etc.
I’m sure you will agree that, after all is said and done, a profit deserves to be made. And $12 is not a lot to ask of each teammate who will benefit from the guide. This entire endeavor is a practical application of what you study: business.
Capitalism at its most basic!
